DaveP said I had to update my blog today. I was planning on doing so anyway, but I think he felt he should read it, and he couldn't do that without me writing it first. So as planned, I'm writing my blog at 9.30 on a Friday evening from the comfort of my hotel bed!
Yesterday evening didnt hold anything in store aside from repetitive sports news on T.V. and some left over "Med Kit" that evening. I got an early night and a respectivly early morning. Although I suffered from a series of really bad nightmares. Thankfully they were the kind that you completely forget right after they happen, but it wasn't pleasent all the same. I suspect it was the leftovers.
As it was a Friday, we managed to escape for two pints at the end of the day. It was a bit of a low key affair as not everyone could make it. So we were back in the office by 7. Damage could have been much worse if the attendence was higher.
Today I pretty much handed in my title of Junior Software Engineer and am now searching for a more appropriate title which I will leave open for a matter of debate for a week and then pitch it to Brian before the next round of business cards are printed. I was thinking of something like "wave-breaker" or "crumple-zone". You know the specially designed bits that are made to stop a whole load of angry from hitting something or someone. I'm going to have to write some emails next week outlining my intentions for the next few months 'cus I'm not exactly super happy with my current state.
I had to get another cash advance today to last me till next week. I'm looking forward to being able to make card payments when I get back to England (when I get my card sorted). I'm also considering getting a new bank as I'm still bitter about Natwest. I'll have to get that all sorted when I get back as it won't be long till I have to go off exploring places again, making sure everything works (everything had better work).
So the outlook of the next 12 hours is grumpy and sour. Hopefully by tomorrow afternoon things will settle to moodless and concentrated, and continue to perk up over the course of the weekend, before finally reaching calm and calculated by Monday. I'd draw cute weather like diagrams but my wacom's at work.
The regular readers will obviously notice the lack of dietry information included in the blog recently, so as a brief upadte: I've put on weight. The bad news being that I've just developed a stomach as apposed to 'gaining mass'. My intention is to eat more in general and avoid half-meals like leftovers and sandwich lunches. I'll give that a week and see how it goes. The worst thing that can happen is I just gain more of a stomach and I'll have to run a few times a week to burn it off... Don't worry I'm kidding, I doubt I'm going to shift weight that quickly, on or off!
Speak to you all later over the course of the weekend!
