Travel Arrangements

I got an email from Jason to say that I was coming home to England on the 8th, having a day at home on the 9th, before flying out to Barcelona for 4 days on the 10th. This stil means I'll miss Erins party. But it does mean I'll get a pint, and hopefully a fry up (wink wink nudge nudge).

Just so the English in all of us is satisfied: The weather is still pretty dank and miserable. It's not raining at the moment (touch wood) but it's threatening. The weatherman/lady on the local news channel is kinda stuck for a job. She comes on and teels us that it'll be raining for another 5 straight days and then says there'll be snow on the mountains. Then they usually cut to a report about how the I-5 is covered in a mudslide, landslide, avalanche, oil slick or ice. And just to annoy the commuters, the express train is usually out of service due to the same reasons.

I'm really tired this morning as I couldn't sleep last night. Don't know why. So I want to get an early night but I have to catch up on work. Probably all the more reason to work faster I guess. The good news is that to assist my Oatmeal, I now also have Twinnings Tea Bags, the bad news being the tea bags were relativly expensive and I'm a long way from the kitchen, and I drink 3 cups an hour in the morning.

I logged on to my bank details last night (get me), and found I have been paid. Which was nice. I also found that each time I withdraw $100, I'm being given bankers exchange rate, and charged about (GBP)1.40 for each transaction. Which means a withdrawel of $100 translates as (GBP)60. Which is an incredibly good rate (in my eyes anyway, a financial minded person would probably say I'm being cheated $5). So I have a bit more spending money, which means I'll be buying the Marx Brothers DVD boxset and some clothes (don't worry Dad I wont buy shoes yet).

If anyone wants to feel like theyre sitting in the scene of a horror movie, listen to a band called M^2 ("M-Squared"). Dave has it on in his office. It's brain music. No drum, no singing, just pulsating sounds the odd beep and squeak. It's very subconscience. To be honest there's nothing wrong with it. Its just atmospheric in a dark mischeivious way. And as I said earlier, it's like being in Doom3.

Ok, better go work. "I'll catch you all on the flip side"
