Last night we made it out of the hotel room office and went out for a curry and some drinks around quite a heavy work schedule. The curry was really good. Some of the best I've had outside of England (having never been to India, obviously).

There are a number of deadlines for several people in our project over here this week so it was always going to be hard to get everyone out drinking, but we managed to get a good sized group down to an Irish bar in the worlds fair district which is located just across the road from our hotel. After being seated quite quickly, we then endured a fifteen minute "buzz killer" period whilst we waited for our Brazilian waitress to acknowledge our existence. There seems to be a running theme here over the pronunciation of the word "Vodka" [pron. Vod-ka]. A Brazilian slant on the Portuguese would sound like "Vodika". You have a one in two chance of saying it wrong. Anyway, we ordered a bottle of Smirnoff between the four of us (!) and a couple of Red Bulls. Would explain the hangover I had this morning at least.

I made it to the 'office' this morning at 10am feeling alright. Dave and I are currently waiting on room service to deliver coffee before attempting anything brave and daring (like standing up or talking).

Not sure if I'm going out this evening, but if I do, you can expect a pretty similar post tomorrow!
