For the man who only owns one saucepan

It's been an eventful three days here in Bellevue. Yesterday involved education, which is a great way to feel like you don't know enough, but actually helped a lot.

On Monday evening we went to Las Margaritas followed by The Parlour. I really wasn't feeling too well so the beer wasn't going down too good. It was a lot of fun though, and I managed to play at least one or two games of pool at a half decent standard. Yesterday we went to Joey's for Super Sonic Gin and Tonics (Double Gin with a Lemon and Vodka Sorbet float if you're interested). Bruce broke the record for most drunk in one sitting -- but I'm not sure if that's such a great competition! I had two and then tried a Bloody Mary with Wasabi. "It was very spicy" to quote Gwynne.

Today has been relatively productive applying the knowledge learned yesterday to some degree. Bruce and I have been hitting the gym every morning (by hit I mean turning up, feeling weak and then going back home) so I'm really in need of some trainers. Will hopefully buy those later on today.

The plan this evening is to cook some food at the apartment. I can see the surprised expressions from here. Bruce and I are going over to Whole Foods later to buy everything we need to make Lasagne. I'll point this out now, it is really hard to get used to the difference in pronunciation for Lasagne. Pronouncing it "La-san-ya" will get you no where here. The trick is to say "Las-zaarn-yar". Either way, Bruce and I are going to make Lasagne for Cristina and Laura, so if they get food poisoning, it's probably from something else unrelated.

Tomorrow is supposed to be drinking Thursday, but we have to be up super early on Friday to get to Canada. The chances are we'll take it easy tomorrow - the stronger possibility is that we'll miss our train.

I'll post some photos of our culinary delights tomorrow. And hopefully I'll have some trainers by then!!
