Floods, Fire and Beer

I won't go in to any details regarding the events of last night other than the fact I will probably explain the story several times when I get home. Bearing this is mind; the rest of the day was pretty good!

Our team exercise proved a success with lots of constructive and smart input. We knocked off around 4pm and then Cristina, Dave and I went down to Trader Vics to meet Shaun, KevinA and Rachel for a few swift Vodka Mai Tais. Cristina headed off to do some errands and the rest of us went back to the office. After around an hour and a half (see above note) Cristina drove Shaun and I to the Red Hook Brewery in Woodinville for the trivia night. We met two of Cristina's friends out there and well frankly we were terrible, coming last out of 50 or so teams in both halves. It was really good fun and we had a laugh anyway. I was amazed when we had one question that was identical to a question we had last week at the quiz in The Anchor back in Twickenham! The place closed at around 10 and we got back to the apartment pretty quick.

This morning we were back to meetings, discussing some detailed technical stuff. For lunch we went out to a sandwich joint I had never been to before called Jimmy Johns. It was pretty good and I'll probably head back there before the trip's over.

This evening will most likely be quiet. Tomorrow we have a meeting on hiring and then we'll have the afternoon meeting which had the descriptive label of ":-)". I'm assuming we'll need our drinking caps after our lunch at Joe's Steak House!

I'll try and get a post up tomorrow with some pictures!
