Putting on weight already

Further proof to the fact my mother doesnt feed me (who ever she was) I have already started to gain a bit of girth. Which is nice. At this rate I should have gained over a stone by the time I get back. Don't worry, my mum feeds me lots but I just go and burn it all off walking everywhere!

I'm sure you'll all be pleased to hear that I've puchased a Nerf gun. I went for the classic bow design... turns out we were all had as a kid, the bow and string do nothing :( They're just for decoration. Whats more annoying is that it takes nimble fingers and the patience of a saint to 'simply weave' the elastic through the compound bow gears. Which do squat anyway. Aside from get in the way. I'm sure there'll be a better opportunity for pictures later in the day. Its a bit dark still and not every one is in.

I didnt get any dinner last night. I thought I had missed dinner in The Jonah (hotel resteraunt) but its open later than I thought, d'oh! So I've got breakfast today... and brought in some milk as everyone else in the office doesnt seem to see that as a priority... weird people. And they don't sell Coco Pops! They call them choco krispies and have Snap, Crackle and Pop ("They just came out of the trees, man") on the front of the box performing some chocolate alchemy on the rice krispies. And they think Harry Potter is an occult.

Works going fine. Today I'll be learning some fancy new technology that the programmers have written. Despite being a tester, I dont particularly want it to break! We'll see how that goes.

I'll be in work super early tomorrow as Dave and Tim want to go and try out a fancy deli sandwich place for breakfast. So I might be online (msn: audio_cd@hotmail.com) from 7am (3pm GMT). You lucky lot.

Oh, Lunch yesterday! We went out for sushi as a group of eight. Brian, the CTO, even stooped to our level to join us! It was in West Bellevue on Main, and is a traditional Japanese resteraunt. As a group of eight, we got a private room (with slidy paper doors) that we had to take our shoes off to walk in to. We didnt have to sit cross legged or on our knees as they had sunk thefloor so we could sit normally but still at the same level to the table. Five of us had sushi platters and the other three had teriayaki. The sushi was really good, and I was stuffed afterwards. As a bonus it worked out as about $10 a head! Only problem was the walk there and back was a bit long to say the least. West Bellevue really is typical Americana. Wooden fronted buildings, little fountains, tiny cross roads, craft shops and delis... and Japanese resteraunts. All very twee and nice.

The rest of the day outside of meetings was spent moddifying Nerf guns. Mostly removing the dampners and reducing coil chambers. I tried fashioning one of my 'arrows' in to a point with re-enforced wings and grooves so it will fly better. Turns out it flies shorter and just stings a bit.

Tonight I'll be popping in to the mall to do a bit of clothes shopping and probably get some dinner at a resteraunt. Should be quite nice!
